As a child my fondest memories of Ollie are him telling Gula Gula stories to my brother and I. This was before Ollie had his own kids and I think he liked the creative/imaginative outlet his storytelling provided.
I have no idea where he got the stories from or what inspired him but Shane and I loved them! There was one Gula Gula (I can't remember it's name) but if you slept with your toes out of the tent it would come at get them. The stories were set in a rainforest environment, my all time favourite setting for imaginative stories when I was younger. Owh, I'm going to have to get Dad to call Ollie to find out the background!
